During The Lesson: What To Expect
If your child is a beginner:
They will learn 4-6 songs within the first 15 minutes. We will decide on the best curriculum books for your child based on current ability and interests, and provide suggestions for practice and scheduling to support your child's unique journey.
If your child has previous piano experience:
Your child will have a chance to play songs and show off their sight-reading skills while I assess their level. We will decide on a plan of action to achieve your child's goals, including choice of curriculum, scheduling, and musical genres to challenge and motivate your child.
If you have two children interested in lessons:
No problem! They are able to share one introductory lesson. Write both of their names and ages in the "Notes" section while booking the lesson. During this lesson your children will be introduced to 4-6 songs, and I will use the Piano Lab method with headphones and red and green cards to provide instruction to both students. I will also provide an assessment of each child's unique level, and suggestions for curriculum, and scheduling based on their individual assessments.
